North Carolina Joins 14 States in Bipartisan U.S. Climate Alliance

Governor Roy Cooper announced today that North Carolina will join 14 other states in the U.S. Climate Alliance, which is the bipartisan coalition launched in response to President Trump’s withdrawal from the Paris Agreement. The bipartisan group of states is committed to reducing their share of the U.S. greenhouse gas emission reduction targets in the Paris Agreement. 

Governor Cooper Announces $73 Million in Grants to Fight Crime, Aid Victims

$73 million in grants from the North Carolina Governor’s Crime Commission will go to support criminal justice programs in communities across North Carolina, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The grants will fund innovative programs focused on issues including opioids, domestic violence, child trafficking, juvenile justice and delinquency prevention, inmate re-entry, and services to crime victims.
