Governor Proclaims Healthcare Quality Week 2023

WHEREAS, the people of North Carolina want high-quality, safe, accessible, and affordable healthcare; and

WHEREAS, improved healthcare outcomes result in better quality of life and lower costs, which ultimately benefits the people of North Carolina; and

WHEREAS, healthcare professionals are essential to overall healthcare quality; and

WHEREAS, healthcare organizations work to assure the delivery of high quality, cost-effective, and safe healthcare by analyzing data to facilitate improved systems and helping to integrate new evidence-based practices while maintaining high ethical standards and leading continual improvement initiatives; and

WHEREAS, healthcare quality professionals across North Carolina have demonstrated a commitment to these goals in their work across the healthcare delivery system;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ROY COOPER, Governor of the State of North Carolina, do hereby proclaim October 15 – 21, 2023, as “HEALTHCARE QUALITY WEEK” in North Carolina, and commend its observance to all citizens.
