Governor Proclaims Law Enforcement Civilian Employee Appreciation Day 2022

WHEREAS, dedicated law enforcement civilian employees serve the people of North Carolina to provide them with vital services; and

WHEREAS, law enforcement civilian employees are crucial to helping law enforcement agencies protect and serve their communities; and

WHEREAS, these professionals continually use their expertise and experience for critical duties including maintaining criminal justice statistics and improving apprehension strategies; and

WHEREAS, these dedicated employees deserve recognition and gratitude for their public service; and

WHEREAS, law enforcement civilian employees serving throughout North Carolina exhibit professionalism, efficiency, and compassion during the performance of their essential duties; and

WHEREAS, the State of North Carolina has designated August 5^th to recognize law enforcement civilian employees;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ROY COOPER, Governor of the State of North Carolina, do hereby proclaim August 5, 2022, as “LAW ENFORCEMENT CIVILIAN EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION DAY” in North Carolina, and commend its observance to all citizens.
