Governor Roy Cooper has appointed Judge Keith Gregory to preside in Wake County Superior Court.

“Judge Gregory brings a notable combination of legal expertise and community service to the bench and I am confident he will continue to serve the people of Wake County well in this new role,” said Gov. Cooper.

Judge Gregory will serve as a Superior Court Judge for Judicial District 10D in Wake County. He has served as a North Carolina District Court Judge since 2010. Prior to his District Court judgeship, Gregory practiced in a variety of roles including Assistant Public Defender, Assistant District Attorney and in private practice. Gregory received his Juris Doctor degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia.

A devoted community member, Gregory has served on the Interfaith Food Shuttle Board of Directors and the ReEntry, Inc.  Board of Directors. He has also been an active member of the Wake County Bar Association and has served as President of the North Carolina Association of District Court Judges.

Judge Gregory will fill the seat held previously by Resident Superior Court Judge Donald Stephens, who retired from the court in November 2017.
