Governor Cooper has nominated Judge Robby Hassell of Greensboro to serve on the state Industrial Commission as a commissioner representing employers.
"The Industrial Commission makes critical decisions affecting the people of our state, from workers’ compensation claims to death benefits," Gov. Cooper said. "I’m proud to nominate an experienced, talented member to serve on this commission.
Hassell currently serves as the Regional Judicial Outreach Liaison for the American Bar Association Judicial Division and is an Emergency Superior Court Judge for the State of North Carolina. Prior to his current positions, Hassell served as a Superior Court Judge, District Court Judge, assistant public defender, and an associate attorney.
