Governor Cooper Announces Judicial Appointment, Serving Judicial District 10B

Governor Roy Cooper has appointed David K. Baker, Sr. to serve as district court judge for Judicial District 10B in Wake County. 

“Mr. Baker brings great experience and commitment to serving the people of Wake County, and I’m confident in his ability to serve on the bench,” said Governor Cooper. 

David K. Baker, Sr. of Raleigh will fill the vacancy left by the Honorable Craig Croom’s appointment as Special Superior Court Judge. Baker has served as the principal attorney at the Law Office of David K. Baker since 2010. Prior, he worked as a staff attorney for Legal Aid of North Carolina. In his community, Baker has served as vice-chair for the Wake County Bar Association Membership Services Committee and the Raleigh Area Development Authority and chaired the African-American Cultural Festival of Raleigh and Wake County. Baker received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his Juris Doctor from the North Carolina Central School of Law.
