In advance of the Veterans Day, Governor Roy Cooper has declared November Military Family Appreciation Month and November 5 – 9, 2018 to be Veterans Small Business Week.

“We owe a solemn debt to our veterans and military families," Gov. Cooper said. "North Carolina is the most military friendly state in the nation and living up to that means helping small businesses owned by our veterans."

With four major military installations, North Carolina is home to more than 750,000 veterans. Veterans own more than 80,000 North Carolina businesses, support more than 578,000 jobs statewide and contribute more than $34 billion in personal income to their local economies.
