Today, Governor Roy Cooper announced that the State is offering rewards of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Anthony James Dochtermann, age 25, in Greensboro, North Carolina.
On November 2, 2013, at approximately 3 a.m., officers with the Greensboro Police Department responded to a call in reference to a shooting victim at an apartment complex located at 3927 Hahns Lane. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered Mr. Dochtermann suffering from a gunshot wound. He had been shot in the parking lot and was able to walk back to the apartment where he had been visiting a friend. Mr. Dochtermann later died from his injuries.
