Governor Offers Reward in Murder in Northampton County

<p>Today, Governor Roy Cooper announced that the State is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a home invasion and the murder of Terriel Teriek High, 29 years old.</p>

Today, Governor Roy Cooper announced that the State is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a home invasion and the murder of Terriel Teriek High, 29 years old.

On Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at approximately 12:55 a.m., four armed men entered a home located on Firman Myrick Street in Gaston, North Carolina. After searching the home and firing multiple gunshots, the armed men fled out the back door. The occupants, a mother and her five minor children, were unharmed. Moments later, more gunshots were reported coming from outside the residence. Later that day, investigators found the body of Terriel Teriek High in a wooded area between the residence and Clover Lane in Gaston.
