Governor Offers Reward in Murder in Union County

<p>Today, Governor Roy Cooper announced that the State is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Sim Augusta Flowe, age 87 years.</p>

Today, Governor Roy Cooper announced that the State is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Sim Augusta Flowe, age 87 years.

On September 6, 2017 at approximately 10:45 a.m., the Stallings Police Department responded to 3108 Gribble Road in the town of Indian Trail to conduct a wellbeing check on resident Sim Augusta Flowe. Upon arrival, officers entered the residence and found Mr. Flowe deceased. The preliminary autopsy findings show that Mr. Flowe suffered from multiple stab wounds. The crime appears to be robbery motivated.
