All North Carolina teachers and parents are invited to attend a free virtual conference on October 28 to help them navigate technology and remote learning.

After several weeks of stable COVID-19 trends and continued low virus spread in school settings, Governor Roy Cooper today announced that beginning on October 5, North Carolina public school districts and charter schools can choose to implement Plan A for elementary schools (grades K-5).

Today, Governor Roy Cooper directed $95.6 million in new funding to help support K-12 and postsecondary students most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic who can benefit from support during the upcoming school year. 

More than 1,300 educators from rural North Carolina participated in a virtual conference focused on remote learning to help them be better prepared to teach throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Governor Roy Cooper introduced the new NCcareers.org today, an integrated career information system that offers North Carolinians ways to explore careers and job opportunities.

Governor Roy Cooper today shared that North Carolina will continue working with schools, teachers, parents, and health experts to ensure that plans for school this coming year will protect everybody, especially those at high-risk.

Today, Governor Roy Cooper signed 12 bills into law.

    Three teams of students from North Carolina high schools developed winning mobile apps in the state’s first-ever Ready, Set, App! Contest sponsored by the North Carolina Business Committee (NCBCE) in partnership with Lenovo.

    Today, Governor Roy Cooper signed a bill on school mental health into law.
