He also encouraged those who had coverage through the Marketplace in 2018 to use HealthCare.gov to take action and keep their coverage for 2019.

Governor Roy Cooper today announced two judicial appointments to the North Carolina Superior Court.

North Carolina homeowners and renters who sustained property damage or loss caused by Hurricane Florence will now have an extra 30 days, or until December 13, 2018, to register for Individual Assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA). The extension comes after the state requested additional time.

The North Carolina Office of State Budget and Management has released an updated damage estimate from Hurricane Florence showing that the storm caused nearly $17 billion in damage, up from a previous estimate of $13 billion. The updated figure is based on new data from the North Carolina Department of Insurance and damage estimates may continue to change.
