Today, in a letter to President Trump, Gov. Roy Cooper described the damage being done to North Carolina’s farmers and manufacturers by the Trump Administration’s escalating trade war and urged the President to take action to prevent further damage to the economy.

Today, Governor Cooper announced the Finish Line Grants program to help community college students who face unforeseen financial emergencies complete their training. The program will leverage up to $7 million in federal funds to help students pay for course materials, housing, medical needs, dependent care, or other financial emergencies that students may face through no fault of their own.

Today, Governor Cooper signed House Bill 335 into law.

Sensus USA, Inc., a provider of advanced metering technologies to utilities and municipalities, will expand its current operations in Durham County, creating 301 new jobs over five years, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company will invest $4 million in North Carolina by the end of 2019.
