UPDATED: Governor Cooper Offers Reward in Guilford County Murder Case

<p>Today, Governor Roy Cooper announced that the State is <a href="http://files.nc.gov/governor/documents/files/Lovett-Michael_Reward%20Proclamation.pdf?2V.O4RUBm5n0qYaqhe5ItmjDNNR0JRG6">offering a reward of up to $5,000</a> for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Michael Lovett, age 35.</p>

Today, Governor Roy Cooper announced that the State is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Michael Lovett, age 35.

On October 8, 2015 at 2:40 a.m., Greensboro Police Officers responded to a single car accident on East Market Street near Holt’s Chapel Road in Greensboro. Once at the scene, the officers determined that Mr. Lovett was the victim of a shooting that caused the accident.
 
At the time of the accident, Mr. Lovett was driving a white in color 2015 BMW 535i. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and later passed away from his injuries.
