The Office of the Governor of North Carolina is seeking motivated and enthusiastic interns to support with a variety of tasks across the following departments:
- Intergovernmental & Outreach
- Boards & Commissions
- Volunteer NC
- Communications
- Digital
- Constituent Engagement
Intern responsibilities vary by department, but may include:
- Conducting research
- Compiling social media metrics
- Drafting social media content including graphic, design, video and/or photos
- Drafting thank you notes, press releases, invitation and certificates for review.
- Compiling press clips for distribution.
- Sorting and responding to constituent mail.
Applicants should have the following qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate course of study.
- Strong interest in government, public service, and civic engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail oriented, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).
- Discretion when handing confidential or sensitive materials.
