A Proclamation
Whereas, administrative professionals, including administrative assistants, executive assistants, office managers, and secretaries, among others comprise 11.5 percent of the North Carolina workforce; and
Whereas, administrative professionals play an essential role in coordinating the office operations of businesses, government, educational institutions, and other organizations; and
Whereas, administrative professionals serve as vital information hubs in the modern office, managing information, organizing the office, mastering office technology, providing strategic support to teams and companies; and
Whereas, the work of administrative professionals today requires advanced knowledge and expertise in communications, computer software, office technology, project management, organization, customer service, and other vital office management responsibilities; and
Whereas, Administrative Professionals’ Month highlights the major contributions administrative professionals add to business and government and is focused on honoring the professionals who support organizations and governments; and
Whereas, the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) and the IAAP Carolinas Region provide administrative professionals with education, networking opportunities, certification, and other career-enhancing programs while also advancing the image of the profession;
Now, Therefore, I, Josh Stein, Governor of the State of North Carolina, do hereby proclaim April 2025, as “Administrative Professionals' Month” in North Carolina, and commend its observance to all citizens.
In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the Great Seal of the State of North Carolina at the Capitol in Raleigh this nineteenth day of March in the year of our Lord two thousand and twenty-fifth and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-ninth.
