By The Governor Of The State Of North Carolina
A Proclamation
Whereas, the National Grange of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry, “the Grange”, was founded in 1867 to heal a divided nation through unity and civil discourse by connecting rural communities and towns through service, fellowship, and charity; and
Whereas, the Grange consists of 1,700 local chapters, including the North Carolina State Grange, and more than 150,000 members across the country; and
Whereas, the Grange strengthens individuals, families, and communities through service, education, advocacy, and agricultural awareness; and
Whereas, the Grange continues to create community leaders, including at least three governors of the Old North State; and
Whereas, the Grange is growing, evolving, and thriving; fueled by the energy of its members who create solutions, build friendships, and strengthen rural communities across North Carolina;
Now, Therefore, I, Josh Stein, Governor of the State of North Carolina, do hereby proclaim April 2025, as “Grange Month” in North Carolina, and commend its observance to all citizens.
In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the Great Seal of the State of North Carolina at the Capitol in Raleigh this twenty-fifth day of March in the year of our Lord two thousand and twenty-fifth and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-ninth.
