Governor Proclaims National Pest Management Month 2024

NATIONAL PEST MANAGEMENT MONTH

2024

BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS, effective pest management in homes, businesses, and public places throughout North Carolina is an important factor in maintaining the health and well-being of all North Carolina residents; and

WHEREAS, pest management professionals help protect our food supply, homes, and the environment from disease and pest-related illness; and

WHEREAS, pest management professionals can offer families and individuals sound advice on protecting their health and property from pests, including information on how to combat allergens and the best ways to guard against termite, cockroach, and ant infestations in the home; and

WHEREAS, pest management professionals continue to prioritize research and development in safe and effective pest management strategies for homes, businesses, and public places; and

WHEREAS, the State of North Carolina encourages people to understand the important role pest management providers play in ensuring the health and well-being for all people and their contributions to our communities;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ROY COOPER, Governor of the State of North Carolina, do hereby proclaim April, 2024, as “NATIONAL PEST MANAGEMENT MONTH” in North Carolina, and commend its observance to all citizens.
