Governor Proclaims North Carolina Car Wash Day 2024

NORTH CAROLINA CAR WASH DAY

BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS, vehicles are significant investments and require regular care and service to ensure longevity and durability; and

WHEREAS, vehicles should be cleaned regularly to remove buildup of dirt, dust, and grime and to avoid damage from salt and other substances, as well as to prevent the formation of rust; and

WHEREAS, commuters or frequent travelers may require additional car care due to more persistent exposure to both road debris and natural elements; and

WHEREAS, the owners and operators of car wash and car care facilities throughout North Carolina have demonstrated standards of professionalism by retaining the proper credentials, providing quality services, and appropriately addressing the needs of their customers; and

WHEREAS, Car Wash Day is a helpful reminder to North Carolinians that regular, proper vehicle care is crucial to the longevity of their vehicles;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ROY COOPER, Governor of the State of North Carolina, do hereby proclaim July 14, 2024, as “NORTH CAROLINA CAR WASH DAY” in North Carolina, and commend its observance to all citizens.
