THE 75th ANNIVERSARY OF THE ROTARY CLUB OF MOUNT AIRY

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, the Rotary Club of Mount Airy has served as a beacon of service and fellowship in our community for 75 years, fostering goodwill, understanding, and impactful change; and
WHEREAS, since its inception in 1949, the Rotary Club of Mount Airy has upheld the highest ideals of Rotary International, dedicating itself to the principle of Service Above Self; and
WHEREAS, for 75 years, the members of the Rotary Club of Mount Airy have worked tirelessly to address the most pressing needs of our community, from supporting education and promoting clean water and sanitation to promoting economic development and environmental sustainability; and
WHEREAS, the Rotary Club of Mount Airy has been a catalyst for positive transformation, embodying the spirit of collaboration and cooperation that has strengthened the bonds of friendship and unity among its members and beyond; and
WHEREAS, through its various projects, programs, and partnerships, the Rotary Club of Mount Airy has made a lasting and meaningful impact on the lives of countless individuals, families, and organizations; and
WHEREAS, the Rotary Club of Mount Airy is celebrated and honored for its unwavering commitment to service, its dedication to the highest ethical standards, and its enduring legacy of making a difference in the world;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, ROY COOPER, Governor of the State of North Carolina, do hereby proclaim July 16, 2024, as a day “IN RECOGNITION OF THE 75th ANNIVERSARY OF THE ROTARY CLUB OF MOUNT AIRY” in North Carolina, and commend its observance to all citizens.
