A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, Lumberton Rescue & EMS has faithfully served the residents of Lumberton and Robeson County for seven decades with unwavering dedication and commitment; and
WHEREAS, for 70 years, Lumberton Rescue & EMS has been a pillar of strength and compassion in times of crisis, providing crucial emergency medical services to those in need; and
WHEREAS, the men and women of Lumberton Rescue & EMS have tirelessly responded to countless emergencies, demonstrating exceptional professionalism and bravery; and
WHEREAS, Lumberton Rescue & EMS has been a vital partner in promoting public health and safety through education, prevention, and rapid response initiatives; and
WHEREAS, the community of Lumberton and Robeson County have benefited immeasurably from the selfless service and sacrifice of Lumberton Rescue & EMS; and
WHEREAS, the State of North Carolina congratulates the Lumberton Rescue & EMS on their 70th anniversary and its outstanding service and unwavering dedication to the Lumberton community;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, ROY COOPER, Governor of the State of North Carolina, do hereby proclaim October 12, 2024, as “IN RECOGNITION OF THE LUMBERTON RESCUE & EMS 70TH ANNIVERSARY” in North Carolina, and commend its observance to all citizens.
