A Proclamation
Whereas, the Wake County Bar Association (WCBA) was founded in 1925 to promote justice,
uphold the rule of law, and support the legal profession in Wake County; and
Whereas, over the past century, the WCBA has made significant contributions to the legal community, the advancement of justice, and the welfare of the residents of Wake County and beyond; and
Whereas, the members of the WCBA have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the highest ethical standards, the fair and equitable administration of justice, and service to the public; and
Whereas, the WCBA has provided invaluable support and professional development for generations of attorneys, fostering leadership, mentorship, and camaraderie among legal practitioners; and
Whereas, the WCBA has engaged in numerous community outreach initiatives, legal education programs, pro bono services, and efforts to increase access to justice for underserved and vulnerable populations; and
Whereas, the WCBA’s centennial celebration is an opportunity to honor the hard work, dedication, and achievements of all those who have served as members, leaders, and advocates within the organization over the past 100 years; and
Whereas, this milestone anniversary serves as a testament to the enduring strength and commitment of the legal profession in North Carolina and as a reminder of the ongoing role that the WCBA plays in fostering a just and fair society for all;
Now, Therefore, I, Josh Stein, Governor of the State of North Carolina, do hereby proclaim April 1, 2025, as “In Recognition Of The Wake County Bar Association 100th Anniversary” in North Carolina, and commend its observance to all citizens.
In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the Great Seal of the State of North Carolina at the Capitol in Raleigh this twenty-fifth day of March in the year of our Lord two thousand and twenty-fifth and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-ninth.
