Governor Proclaims Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day 2022

WHEREAS, registered dietitian nutritionists are food and nutrition experts who translate the science of nutrition into practical solutions for healthy living; and

 

WHEREAS, registered dietitian nutritionists have degrees in nutrition, dietetics, public health or a related field from well-respected, accredited colleges and universities, have completed an internship, and passed an examination; and

 

WHEREAS, there are more than 3,000 registered dietitians in North Carolina Working to make our communities healthier with personalized, positive lifestyle changes; and

 

WHEREAS, registered dietitian nutritionists work throughout North Carolina communities in hospitals, schools, public health clinics, nursing homes, fitness centers, food management, food industry, universities, research and private practice; and

 

WHEREAS, registered dietitian nutritionists are advocates for advancing the nutritional status of Americans and people around the world;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ROY COOPER, Governor of the State of North Carolina, do hereby proclaim March 9, 2022, as “REGISTERED DIETITIAN NUTRITIONIST DAY” in North Carolina, and commend its observance to all citizens.
