A Proclamation

Whereas, more than 1.6 million small businesses across the United States – from Main Street storefronts to American-made manufacturers that advance our economy – are veteran-owned pillars that drive our economy and national success; and

Whereas, veteran and military spouse small business owners are dedicated to service to their country and community by upholding mission-driven values like resilience, discipline, and determination; and

Whereas, we recognize and appreciate veteran and military spouse entrepreneurs for the significant contributions they make to strengthen our communities and our economy; and

Whereas, National Veterans Small Business Week highlights the programs and services available to veteran entrepreneurs through the U.S. Small Business Administration and resource partners; and

Whereas, the State of North Carolina supports and joins this national effort to assist America’s veteran entrepreneurs to start, grow, and expand their small businesses or recover after a disaster, thereby helping our communities thrive;

Now, Therefore, I, Josh Stein, Governor of the State of North Carolina, do hereby proclaim November 3 – 7, 2025, as National Veterans Small Business Weekin North Carolina and commend its observance to all citizens.

                                                                          

In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the Great Seal of the State of North Carolina at the Capitol in Raleigh this twenty-sixth day of October in the year of our Lord two thousand and twenty-fifth and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and fiftieth.
