Governor Roy Cooper appointed Scott Conrad as District Court Judge to Judicial District 25 serving Burke, Caldwell and Catawba counties today. He will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of The Honorable Burford Cherry. Conrad was also elected earlier this month for this seat.
“Scott Conrad will bring years of community engagement and legal experience to the bench,” Governor Cooper said. “I’m thankful for his willingness to step up and serve as a District Court Judge.”
Scott Conrad is currently manager and solo practitioner at the Law Office of Scott D. Conrad, P.C.. He also serves as the Town Attorney for the Town of Maiden. Previously he served as an Associate at Killian and Reilly Attorneys at Law and a contract attorney at Legal Aid of North Carolina. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Appalachian State University and his Juris Doctor from Campbell University School of Law.
