Today Governor Josh Stein announced that the State of North Carolina is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of A’yanna Allen, age 7, and attempted murder of Shirley Robinson, age 56.
“We must use every tool at our disposal to pursue justice for victims,” said Governor Josh Stein. “I urge North Carolinians who have information about this case to contact local law enforcement and help us hold A’yanna Allen’s murderer accountable."
On December 4, 2016, officers responded to a residence on Harrel Street in Salisbury following a report of a shooting. Officers found two people shot inside the home. The 7-year-old victim, A’yanna Allen, died from her injuries. The second victim, Shirley Robinson, sustained a gunshot wound but survived.
