North Carolina will get 72 new jobs and $11 million in private investment from two economic development projects with manufacturing companies in Madison and Stanly counties, Governor Roy Cooper announced today.

POLYWOOD, a manufacturer of outdoor furniture made from recycled plastics, will create 384 jobs over five years in Person County, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company will invest $35.3 million to open a manufacturing and distribution center in Roxboro.

Publix Super Markets, Inc. will build a refrigerated distribution center in Guilford County by the end of 2022 as part of a multiphase project and has plans to create up to 1,000 jobs by 2025, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company is expected to invest up to $300 million in the first phase of the project.

Dowa Thermotech Co. Ltd., a global provider of industrial furnaces and heat protection treatments, will open a new facility in Lee County, creating 109 jobs, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company plans to invest $22.5 million in Sanford with plans to serve clients in the automotive and industrial machinery supply chains.

Booz Allen Hamilton (boozallen.com), a management and technology consulting firm, will expand its current operations in Cumberland County, creating 208 new jobs over five years, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company expects to invest more than $5 million in the project by the end of 2020.

Jackson Paper Manufacturing Company, North Carolina’s largest recycled paper producer, will open a new plant in Burke County, creating 42 jobs, Governor Roy Cooper announced today.
