Today, Governor Roy Cooper shared a statement on the passing of North Carolina State Highway Patrol Trooper Kevin Conner:

POLYWOOD, a manufacturer of outdoor furniture made from recycled plastics, will create 384 jobs over five years in Person County, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company will invest $35.3 million to open a manufacturing and distribution center in Roxboro.

As North Carolina’s strong and coordinated response to Hurricane Florence recovery continues, Governor Roy Cooper today encouraged small business owners harmed by the storm to access loans and other programs that can help.

Governor Roy Cooper announced two more storm related deaths from Tropical Storm Michael were confirmed in McDowell County today.

As Tropical Storm Michael’s punishing winds and rains sweep across North Carolina, Governor Roy Cooper announced that the storm has claimed the life of a man who died this afternoon in Iredell County when a tree fell on his vehicle.

To prepare North Carolina for Hurricane Michael, Governor Roy Cooper today declared a State of Emergency and waived certain transportation rules. Forecasters expect the storm to bring strong wind and rain to North Carolina.
