This morning, Governor Roy Cooper, Senate President Pro Tempore Phil Berger, Senator Dan Blue, Speaker Tim Moore and Rep. Robert Reives issued the following statement after Apple announced its decision to build a new campus in Wake County, hiring 3,000 employees and investing $1 billion.

Tonight, Governor Roy Cooper will share his third State of the State address, recognizing the resilience of North Carolinians throughout the pandemic and providing a vision for a shared recovery that rebuilds our economy and communities to be stronger than ever.

Tonight, Governor Roy Cooper delivered his third State of the State address. The speech highlighted North Carolinians’ resilience throughout the pandemic and reinforced the need for legislators to work together to help the state rebuild from the pandemic even stronger by expanding Medicaid, raising teacher pay, investing in workforce training and solidifying the state’s infrastructure.

Tonight, Governor Roy Cooper will give his third State of the State address at 7:01 pm. The State of the State will be livestreamed online at pbsnc.org.
