AmeriQual Aseptic, a food processing company, will create 76 jobs as it expands its operations in Montgomery County, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company will invest $23.8 million in expanding its current facility, located in Troy.

Obstetricians and pediatricians from across North Carolina shared with Governor Roy Cooper and Secretary Mandy Cohen of the Department of Health and Human Services the urgency to close the health care coverage gap in North Carolina. The roundtable meeting focused on how Medicaid expansion can help reduce the rate of infant mortality and preterm and low weight births.
 

Governor Roy Cooper has appointed Jason H. Coats to serve as District Court Judge in Judicial District 11, serving Harnett, Johnston and Lee counties. 
 

In a letter, Governor Roy Cooper urged Republican legislators to use recently announced surplus revenue to invest in public education and health care in the 2019 – 2021 state budget.
