Today, Governor Roy Cooper hosted a Military Appreciation Month celebration at the Executive Mansion to honor servicemen and women. The Governor was joined by North Carolina Department of Military and Veterans Affairs Secretary Grier Martin as they celebrated those serving in the armed forces, their families and loved ones. During the ceremony, NC Air National Guard Senior Master Sergeant Lisa Robertson performed the national anthem and the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Honor Guard presented the colors.

Last week, 17 individuals and three organizations representing 20 counties received North Carolina’s highest award for volunteer service, the Governor’s Medallion Award. The award is presented annually by the N.C. Commission on Volunteerism & Community Service.
Today, Governor Roy Cooper announced that the State is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Terry Allred, age 33.On January 14, 2017, at 3:21 a.m., patrol officers responded to the Grab-N-Go gas station located at 637 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive in Greensboro. Upon arrival, officers located Terry Allred, suffering from a gunshot wound. Mr. Allred was transported to a hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries. His death is being investigated as a homicide.

The assault left her with a severe brain injury.
Today, Governor Roy Cooper announced that the State is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Daniel Williams, age 22.On May 7, 2023, at approximately 1:00 a.m., the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call concerning a motor vehicle accident near 972 Sanderfer Road in Bunnlevel, North Carolina. Upon arriving at the scene, EMS and Deputies discovered the driver, Mr. Daniel Williams, deceased from a gunshot wound to the head.
