These organizations are encouraged to submit data challenging eligible locations for inclusion in the federal Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program, which launches in early 2025. Today, Governor Roy Cooper announced that the State is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Jaishon Banks, age 36.On June 26, 2019, officers responded to a vehicle collision at the 1900 block of Merritt Drive. Upon arrival, officers found Jaishon Banks,  inside the vehicle. Mr. Banks was deceased after suffering a fatal gunshot wound. His death is being investigated as a homicide.
