Governor Roy Cooper today announced 32 additional appointments to North Carolina boards and commissions, including the North Carolina Veterans Affairs Commission, the North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities, and the North Carolina Historical Commission. 

Allstate Insurance Company will add 2,250 jobs over three years in North Carolina as it expands its operations in Mecklenburg County, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. Allstate already employs more than 1,400 people in the area. As part of the expansion, the company plans to invest more than $22 million in the Charlotte area.

The company is expanding its services to new fields within health care and plans to invest $435,000 over five years in Mooresville.

Governor Roy Cooper today announced the kickoff of the Governor’s School Supply Drive to help address unmet classroom needs in North Carolina public schools. Cooper was at Pearsontown Elementary School in Durham for the announcement.
