Today, Governor Roy Cooper visited a home in Columbus County that was damaged by Hurricanes Matthew and Florence.

The federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) today announced that North Carolina has been allocated $206 million in long-term recovery money through the program known as Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR).

Today the U.S. Small Business Administration granted Governor Cooper’s request for a disaster declaration for counties that suffered damages from Hurricane Dorian, making additional assistance available to residents there.

Governor Roy Cooper sent a letter today to the U.S. Small Business Administration requesting that the SBA grant a disaster declaration for North Carolina counties that were affected by Hurricane Dorian.
