Pfizer Inc., one of the world’s premier biopharmaceutical companies, has selected Lee County for a new expansion of its manufacturing facilities as the company prepares to produce new gene therapy medicines. Governor Roy Cooper announced the company plans to invest $100 million in its Sanford facilities, creating 40 jobs and building upon a technology first developed at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

EGGER Wood Products, one of Europe’s leading wood-based materials suppliers for the furniture, wood construction and flooring industries, has selected Davidson County as the location for the company’s first U.S. manufacturing plant. Governor Roy Cooper announced the company’s investment in Lexington earlier today. 

Infosys (NYSE: INFY), a global leader in consulting, technology and next-generation services, has selected North Carolina’s Research Triangle region as the location for a new technology hub, creating 2,000 jobs over five years, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company plans to invest $8.73 million in Wake County.

Sutter Street Manufacturing, a Williams-Sonoma, Inc. operation, plans to create 72 new jobs with an expansion in Catawba County, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The upholstered furniture manufacturing company plans to invest $1.9 million over three years to upgrade its facilities in Claremont.

FCC (North Carolina), LLC., a Japan-based manufacturer of automotive parts, will expand operations in Scotland County and create 28 jobs over three years, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. With this expansion, the company plans to invest $826,500 in Laurinburg.
