Today Governor Josh Stein and First Lady Anna Stein hosted a Friendsgiving for servicemembers stationed at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro. The Governor and First Lady served meals at the base before sitting down with the airmen for lunch. Seymour Johnson is home to the 4th Fighter Wing, one of the most distinguished fighter units in the world.
This week, Governor Josh Stein and the North Carolina Department of Commerce announced seven new economic development projects that will bring more than 3,400 jobs and invest more than $1.8 billion in North Carolina. These announcements come on the heels of Scout Motors selecting Charlotte for its new headquarters, investing more than $206.9 million, and bringing 1,200 jobs to the Queen City.
Governor Josh Stein, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, and the Governor’s Recovery Office for Western NC (GROW NC) announce an additional investment to build on the success of the WNC Thrive initiative, one of many NCDHHS efforts to help children and families recover from the devastating impacts of Hurricane Helene. This announcement brings the total investment in additional resources for children, youth, and families in the 22 counties hit hardest by Helene, including free after-school, weekend, and summer camp programs, to a total of $3.75 million.
Today Governor Josh Stein announced VectorTex USA, LLC, a product developer and technology company, will create 44 new jobs in Bladen County. The company will invest more than $6 million to establish its first North American manufacturing facility in Elizabethtown.  
Today Governor Josh Stein met with local law enforcement from New Hanover and Brunswick Counties to learn how the State can better support their efforts to keep people safe. This roundtable continues Governor Stein’s push for a comprehensive public safety package that not only ensures appropriate responses to crime but also focuses on preventing crime from occurring in the first place.  
Today, Governor Josh Stein announced intelligent power management company Eaton will add 30 jobs in Nash County by expanding its aerospace components manufacturing facility with a $6.8 million investment in the Town of Middlesex.“I am delighted to announce Eaton’s recommitment to North Carolina,” said Governor Josh Stein. “This additional investment strengthens our position as a national leader in aerospace manufacturing. The aerospace supply chain gets continues to thrive here in the first in flight state, making us also the future of flight.”

Today Governor Josh Stein and North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Dev Sangvai hosted a roundtable discussion in Greenville to learn about the impacts of medical debt relief on North Carolinians. Governor Stein also called on the North Carolina General Assembly to join him in working to bring down health care costs. 
Governor Josh Stein today announced that Novartis, a global leader in the development and manufacturing of innovative medicines, will expand its pharmaceutical manufacturing operations in North Carolina. The company says it expects to create 700 new jobs by the end of 2030 in Durham and Wake counties, while investing $771 million in the City of Durham and Town of Morrisville.
Today Governor Josh Stein visited The Smith Family Behavioral Health Urgent Care in Charlotte to highlight the importance of expanding access to mental health treatment and ensuring every North Carolinian can get the health care they need when they need it.
