Today Governor Josh Stein announced Judco Manufacturing, Inc., an automotive supplier, will create 60 new jobs in Greene County. The company will invest more than $5.3 million to move its headquarters and research and development operations to Snow Hill.

Western North Carolinians who are seeking assistance in rebuilding Helene-damaged homes have until December 31, 2025, to submit an application to the state’s Renew NC Single-Family Housing Program (SFPH).  
Today, Governor Josh Stein announced Cardon Rehabilitation & Medical Equipment USA, LLC, a manufacturer of customizable powered treatment tables and exercise equipment, will add 20 new jobs in Lenoir County. The company will invest more than $4 million to establish its U.S. headquarters and manufacturing facility in Kinston.
Today Governor Josh Stein joined the Gang Prevention and Intervention Task Force’s first meeting to discuss how his administration is working to keep North Carolinians safe and prevent violent crime. The task force, established in August through Executive Order 21, is charged with identifying solutions to create safe communities across North Carolina by reducing gang violence and helping young people reach a productive and fulfilling adulthood.
Governor Josh Stein and NC Health and Human Services Secretary Dev Sangvai announced today that through North Carolina’s Medical Debt Relief Program, more than $6.5 billion in medical debt has been relieved for more than 2.5 million North Carolinians over the past year.

Today Governor Josh Stein announced that the state of North Carolina is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Isis Denise “Dee Dee” Dawkins, age 13.  On July 5, 1992, Dawkins’ mother reported her missing from their home. Dawkins had last been seen on July 3, 1992. On July 28, 1992, remains of a young girl were discovered in the South Fork River in Brookford. On August 14, 1992, the remains were identified as Dawkins.  
 Today Governor Josh Stein joined Biogen leaders and local officials at the company’s 30th anniversary event to celebrate North Carolina’s leadership in the biotech industry and highlight Biogen’s $2 billion commitment to expanding its presence in North Carolina.“North Carolina is a global leader in life sciences, and Biogen has been at the heart of that story for three decades,” said Governor Josh Stein. “This new $2 billion investment means more innovation, more good-paying jobs, better health, and a stronger economy.”  
Recent events across North Carolina have been tragic reminders of the need to meaningfully invest in mental health resources, and Governor Josh Stein today called for comprehensive resources to keep people safe and healthy. Governor Stein also toured Integrated Family Services in Greenville, which will be opening a new Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC) later this month.
