Governor Roy Cooper is encouraging the public to pay close attention to their local forecast and be prepared for ice in western counties. State emergency and transportation officials are closely monitoring weather and road conditions and are working with local emergency officials to provide support if needed.

Cisco Systems will partner with leading industry partners and the state to train North Carolina veterans for jobs in the cybersecurity workforce. The announcement was made by state officials and representatives from Cisco at this morning’s meeting of the NCWorks Commission meeting, Governor Cooper’s statewide workforce development board.

As part of Military Family Appreciation Month, Military Veterans Small Business Week and the observance of Veterans Day, Governor Roy Cooper declared November 12 - 16, 2018 Employ a Veteran Week in North Carolina.

Today, Governor Cooper hosted military veterans and their families at the Executive Residence for a reception to commemorate the sacrifices military veterans have made for North Carolina and the country. During the reception, the governor signed a proclamation declaring November 11, 2018 Veterans Day in North Carolina.

Today, Governor Roy Cooper appointed new members to 55 boards and commissions.
