Three North Carolina teachers have won Governor’s Educator Discovery Awards to help strengthen their work in the classroom, Governor Roy Cooper and the North Carolina Business Committee for Education announced. Gladys Johnson from New Century International Middle School in Cumberland County, Kathy Bosiak from Lincolnton High School in Lincoln County, and Gabrielle Farrington from Durham Public Schools in Durham County will each receive a $1,000 award to pay for professional development.
