Today, Governor Roy Cooper appointed Douglas Green to serve as Superior Court Judge in Judicial District 17, serving Alamance County. Green will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Tom Lambeth.“Judge Green’s has the experience and knowledge of the district to be a skilled Superior Court Judge,” said Governor Cooper. “I am grateful for his commitment to continue serving the people of Alamance County.”

Today, Governor Roy Cooper announced that Amgen Inc., the pioneering biotechnology company, will expand its biologics manufacturing operation in Holly Springs, creating 370 additional jobs. The company intends to invest $1 billion in Wake County.
