Governor Cooper Announces 44 New Jobs in Iredell County

TrueLearn, LLC plans to create 44 new jobs and move its headquarters and operations to Iredell County, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company works with many of the leading medical schools and residency programs in the country to help young physicians achieve board certification in various specialties of medicine. The company is expanding its services to new fields within health care and plans to invest $435,000 over five years in Mooresville.

Governor Roy Cooper today announced the kickoff of the Governor’s School Supply Drive to help address unmet classroom needs in North Carolina public schools. Cooper was at Pearsontown Elementary School in Durham for the announcement. 

Pfizer to Invest in Gene Therapy Manufacturing Facility in North Carolina

Pfizer Inc., one of the world’s premier biopharmaceutical companies, has selected Lee County for a new expansion of its manufacturing facilities as the company prepares to produce new gene therapy medicines. Governor Roy Cooper announced the company plans to invest $100 million in its Sanford facilities, creating 40 jobs and building upon a technology first developed at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
