18 N.C. High School Students Named ‘National Cyber Scholars’ After Winning Nationwide Cybersecurity Competition

Eighteen high school students from across North Carolina have been named National Cyber Scholars by the National Cyber Scholarship Foundation after winning a rigorous 48-hour competition designed to evaluate aptitude in combating cyberthreats and showcasing the best of what North Carolina’s schools have to offer, Gov. Roy Cooper announced on Thursday. 

Aerospace Company to Expand with $5 Million Investment in Craven County

Aeronautical Systems Incorporated (ASI), a world class provider of engineering, manufacturing and MRO services for military platforms, will create 30 new jobs in Craven County, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company will invest $5.6 million to expand its manufacturing footprint in New Bern.

North Carolina Teachers Win Governor’s Educator Discovery Awards

Three North Carolina teachers have won Governor’s Educator Discovery Awards to help strengthen their work in the classroom, Governor Roy Cooper and the North Carolina Business Committee for Education announced. Gladys Johnson from New Century International Middle School in Cumberland County, Kathy Bosiak from Lincolnton High School in Lincoln County, and Gabrielle Farrington from Durham Public Schools in Durham County will each receive a $1,000 award to pay for professional development.
