Governor Roy Cooper designated Saturday, December 1 as World AIDS Day in North Carolina in recognition of the importance of HIV testing, awareness and treatment. This year marks the 30th anniversary of World AIDS Day and renews opportunities for health service agencies to work with partners to raise awareness about HIV, with the goal of ending the epidemic through education, prevention, technology and viral suppression treatment.

Fortune 100 Honeywell Announces Plan to Bring New Headquarters to Charlotte

Honeywell, a Fortune 100 company providing software-oriented solutions for many of the world’s most complex industries, will locate its headquarters in Mecklenburg County, creating 750 well-paying jobs, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The move is contingent upon Monday's anticipated ratification and signing of legislation that has already passed the General Assembly along with approval of state incentives. The company’s move would bring more than $248 million in investment.

Governor Cooper Announces 129 New Manufacturing Jobs and $14M Investment in Halifax County

Halifax County will see 129 new jobs and $14 million in private investment from two economic development projects with manufacturing companies, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. Reser’s Fine Foods will create 79 new jobs with an expansion in Halifax, and JBB Packaging will create 50 new jobs with a new facility in Weldon.
