Contact Governor Cooper

Thank you for contacting the Office of Governor Roy Cooper.

We welcome your ideas, comments, questions, and requests. All submissions are reviewed and will be forwarded to the appropriate person, department, or agency. If your submission requires a response, we will get back to you as soon as possible.

If you are writing with questions or concerns about the new Coronavirus, COVID-19, please visit the Coronavirus website at nc.gov/covid19, or call 2-1-1 or your local health department for assistance.

If you are seeking information about the COVID-19 vaccine or how you can get vaccinated, visit YourSpotYourShot.nc.gov or call 888-675-4567.

The state has continued to make progress in its key COVID-19 metrics and has reduced risk of transmission of COVID-19. Based on new public health guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, the Governor has issued an order lifting capacity restrictions and social distancing requirements and lifting the general face covering requirement in most settings.

Masks will still be required in child care, schools and camps as most children are either not yet vaccinated or are not yet eligible to be vaccinated. Everyone, including people who are fully vaccinated, will still be required to wear a mask in certain settings such as public transportation, health care settings like hospitals, doctor’s offices and long-term care settings like nursing homes, and certain congregate settings like correctional facilities and homeless shelters.

Executive Order No. 215 is effective as of May 14th. For details on the order including the settings where masks are still required and recommended, please see:
