Tonight, Governor Josh Stein delivered his first State of the State Address, highlighting the ongoing work to recover in western North Carolina and urging the General Assembly to invest in economic opportunity, workforce development, families and children, public schools, and public safety. 

Tonight, Governor Stein will address the General Assembly for his first State of the State. Below are his remarks as prepared.

Today, Governor Josh Stein announced that Ralliant Corporation, a global company providing precision technologies for a range of industry sectors will establish its global headquarters in Wake County, creating 180 jobs.  The company will invest $2.1 million in the North Hills area of Raleigh

Today, FEMA granted Governor Stein’s request for an extension for state, tribal, and local governments, as well as some non-profit organizations, to apply for its Public Assistance program. The new deadline is April 7, 2025.

Governor Josh Stein has proclaimed March 2025 as Students@Work℠ Month in North Carolina. Throughout the month, businesses across the state will welcome more than 25,000 students to learn first-hand about jobs and industries in local communities across North Carolina.
