Governor Roy Cooper signed a letter requesting that the U.S. Small Business Administration issue a disaster declaration for Mecklenburg County and Catawba County, and the contiguous counties of Alexander, Burke, Cabarrus, Caldwell, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, and Union.
