Today, Governor Cooper signed six bills into law. 

Yesterday, the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) released four signed statements and six transcripts in full of interviews between employees and “investigators” hired by the legislature to look into the Atlantic Coast Pipeline and permitting process.

Governor Roy Cooper today announced that NC Army National Guard Brig. Gen. Todd Hunt will take command of the North Carolina National Guard's nearly 12,000 soldiers and airmen and over 1,700 full-time federal and state employees as the state's 41st Adjutant General.

Governor Roy Cooper today encouraged North Carolinians who do not have health insurance to enroll for 2020 coverage through the federal Health Insurance Marketplace at HealthCare.gov.

Governor Cooper signed four bills into law: 

    BrightFarms, a packaged salads company, will create 54 jobs in Henderson County, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company will invest $21 million to operate a hydroponic greenhouse in the Etowah community of Henderson County.

    Nine state employees were honored with Governor’s Awards for Excellence today during a ceremony in the N.C. Museum of History.
