Additional rains and flooding will continue to impact North Carolina today and into this evening, Governor Roy Cooper cautioned Monday, and urged drivers to be safe and avoid floodwaters.

In a series of events and releases this week, Governor Cooper will encourage North Carolinians to continue to work together to combat the opioid crisis and update the state on progress made since he launched the Opioid Action Plan in 2017.

Governor Roy Cooper is encouraging North Carolinians to stay vigilant and pay attention to local forecasts as more bands of heavy showers and storms are predicted through Sunday evening.

Governor Roy Cooper has signed the following bill into law: 

KriGen Pharmaceuticals, LLC, a pharmaceutical company, selects Harnett County for its first U.S. manufacturing facility, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. KriGen will create 100 jobs while investing $7 million in Lillington.

Governor Roy Cooper has named Utilities Commissioner Charlotte Mitchell to serve as the next Chairperson of the North Carolina Utilities Commission effective immediately.
