Governor Cooper today declared a State of Emergency for all 100 counties as North Carolina prepares for a major winter storm expected to hit the state starting Saturday.

With much of North Carolina forecast to feel the effects of a major winter storm, Governor Roy Cooper is encouraging the public to be ready, as the State Emergency Response Team makes its preparations.

 Today, US Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross granted Governor Cooper’s request for a disaster declaration related to damage to North Carolina’s marine fishing industry in Hurricane Florence.

Universal Preserv-A-Chem, Inc. (UPI) has selected Mebane as the new location for its natural ingredients and chemical supply business, creating 39 jobs, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company plans to invest $17 million in Mebane with the project.
